As you add items to your shopping cart, you can continuously see what you have chosen by clicking on the shopping cart icon on the top of your screen. Once you are done shopping, you can review the contents of your cart, update quantities, or delete items—just be sure to click “update cart” once you have made your changes. When you are finished reviewing your cart simply click on the “checkout” link that is found in your shopping cart, at which point you will be prompted to sign in, create an account, or checkout as guest. You will then be guided through the very easy checkout process.
If you are unsure about an item, or just do not want to purchase it at the time of checkout, you may want to consider saving items on your wish list for future purchases. You can move items from your wish list to your shopping cart at any time providing they are still available. You can also email your wish list to someone else, where they will have the option to purchase those items for you.
How to Place an Order
Placing an order with is easy. Simply follow these steps:
- Add an item to your shopping bag by clicking "add to bag" on the item's product detail page.
- To add more items click the “continue shopping” button. To finish checkout click the “proceed to checkout” button.
- On the login page new customers should click the "checkout as guest" button (you will be able to create account later in the checkout process)
- Repeat customers should enter their email address and their password and then click "proceed to checkout".
- Complete billing, shipping, and payment information and click “review your order”
- On step 4, you will be presented with all your order information and will be able to edit anything that was entered incorrectly.
- Click the "place order" button to submit the order.
- You will know that your order has gone through when you receive the "thank you" page with your order number.

- Please be advised that once an order is confirmed, you cannot make changes to the order online.
INHABIT accepts American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. At this time we only accept US issued credit cards. Entering a non-US credit card will cause the order to fail and for a hold to be put on the authorized amount that the order was for. This authorization will drop off between 1-4 weeks depending on the credit card issuing bank.
Sales tax is charged only to states where the INHABIT website has a physical presence. Currently this is only New York. Sales tax in New York is determined by zip code and price and can range from 0% to 8.875%.
A promotion code is a unique code that is used during the checkout process to apply a predetermined discount. Once you are done shopping and you are ready to checkout, you will be able to enter your promotion code in the “promotion code” field located in your shopping cart. Once you have entered the promotion code you MUST click the button that says “Apply” BEFORE clicking “checkout.” If you do not apply the promotion code, the discount will not be reflected on your order total. On your confirmation page you will notice the promotion discount deducted from your order total.
Please note: Only one code may be used per order.
To purchase a gift card, fill out the required fields and click "submit". The gift card will be added to your shopping bag and you can proceed to checkout. Your recipient will receive a virtual gift card to the email address you provided. There are instructions on how to redeem your gift card in the email they receive.
To redeem a gift card, click on the link in the email you receive and you will get your gift card number and amount. Add items to your cart and proceed through checkout as you normally would. Under payment options, enter your gift card number and click apply gift card. If your order is more than the amount of your gift card, you will need to enter your credit card information as well. If it is less than the amount on your gift card, the remaining amount will be left as a balance on your gift card for use at a later time. Only one gift certificate can be used per order.

INHABIT uses UPS or USPS to ship orders. We offer Ground shipping, 2nd Day Air and Overnight for domestic orders. We use Worldwide Express Saver for international orders.

INHABIT ships all around the world except to PO Boxes.
For orders being shipped outside of the United States, please be sure to use a valid street address and note that we cannot ship to PO or APO boxes. We cannot guarantee that international orders will ship the next business day since additional verification is often necessary. Most shipments will be delivered within 4-5 business days; however, some shipments may take up to 3 weeks to arrive. Please allow time for your package to clear customs. If you need to return or exchange an item, you will be responsible for shipping charges that apply to the reshipment of the item.
Customs Duties and Other Fees
Please note that the shipping charges reflected on the site during the checkout process do not include taxes or duties. Our customers are solely responsible for any customs duties, foreign taxes and/or other fees that their country may impose to permit delivery of their order. In order to comply with export regulations, we are required by U.S. law to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable "merchandise." Because we are a retailer, we are prohibited by law from marking your order as "gift," even if the order is intended as a gift by its recipient. If the delivery is refused, the shipment and return fees are the responsibility of the customer. These charges will be deducted from the total order refund. Call your local customs office for details about these charges.
You can check the status of your order if you have created an account. Log in to your account and click on “View my Orders”.
Your tracking number will be included in your shipped confirmation email. You can click on the link included in the email you receive or go directly to the ups.com or usps.com to track your order. Enter the number included in your shipped confirmation email and tracking information will display. Please note that tracking information may not be available immediately.
Shipping and returns

Please allow for two business days to process and ship your order. You will receive an order confirmation e-mail when your order has been received and another e-mail once your order has shipped. The carrier we use is UPS, and do not ship using any other carrier.
Returns and exchanges are accepted on full priced merchandise within 14 days of their delivery. Items can only be returned or exchanged if they have not been worn, and must have all tags attached. Items that are eligible for exchange may only be exchanged for the same style (size and color substitutions are permitted). Returns and exchanges are not permitted on discounted merchandise unless otherwise specified. INHABIT offers free returns on all full priced domestic orders.
All orders eligible for return are shipped with a return form and mailing bag with an affixed prepaid UPS return label. Please fill out the return paperwork, securely place the returned item in the bag and drop off the bag at an authorized UPS location. The prepaid label is only valid for UPS shipments within the United States. All items are subject to inspection once received. You will be notified once your return has been approved and processed.
If you would like to exchange an item for another color or size, email us or call 888-261-0524 to ensure that the new item is available. If we have the item in stock, we will hold it for you until your return is received. We will only accept returns for exchange if they meet all criteria for an acceptable return (see return policy). We will ship the exchanged item to you at no additional charge.
