How long will it take for my order to be processed?
Orders placed Monday-Friday before 4pm EST will begin processing that day, excluding holidays, and will ship within 48 hours pending credit card approval and availability. All orders placed on Friday after 4pm EST will be processed on the following Monday. INHABIT will email you when your order begins processing, and another email will be sent once your order is shipped. The actual length of time it takes to receive your order once it has been shipped depends on the method of shipping you have chosen, and where the shipment is going. top What are my shipping options and how long will it take to receive my order? INHABIT only uses UPS as our carrier. We offer Ground shipping, 2nd Day Air, and Overnight. Remember, regardless of the shipping method you have chosen, it can take up to 48 hours to process your order. Ground shipping is free for all orders, and the length of time it takes to receive a package using Ground shipping varies on where you are in the country. How much do you charge for shipping?
Will you ship to me? INHABIT only ships to the United States – we do not offer international shipping. We are unable to ship to PO Boxes under any circumstances. If you are interested in purchasing INHABIT sweaters and you are outside the United States, please refer to our store locator page. top How do I track my order? A UPS tracking number will be included in your “shipped” confirmation email. You can track your INHABIT package by simply going to www.google.com and entering your tracking number in the search field. top Do you offer gift wrapping? INHABIT will gift wrap your order providing you select this option in your shopping cart before you checkout at. We charge $5.00 for gift wrapping. If you want, you will have to opportunity to include a message with the gift. This message is printed on a gift card and included with the gift box. The recipient will receive a blank invoice that will include the order number and return/exchange options – no private information will be included on this invoice, nor will the cost of goods purchased. top What are your hours of operation? INHABIT’s hours of operation are: Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm EST. We are closed major holidays and weekends. top How do I contact Customer Care? If you have a question that is not answered on our customer service page or in the FAQ section, you can email INHABIT at customercare@inhabitny.com or call us at 212.575.8668. top Why do I need to register? You only need to register and create an INHABIT account if you are making a purchase on our site. By registering you are creating an account that only you will be able to access using the username and password you have selected. You must create an account to place an order. Registering allows you to shop faster, review previous purchases, and receive news about specials promotions. In addition, you will be the first to know when new styles are added. top If I “subscribed” to your mailing list does this mean I have registered? No. Subscribing to the INHABIT mailing list only means that you will receive newsletters about new collections, promotions, and other exciting information about our site. top How do I register? Simply click on create an account on the sign in page and you will be guided through our simple and quick registration process. top What if I forget my password? If you forgot your password simply click on I forgot my password located on the sign in page and you will be able to enter your email address. A new password will be automatically generated and sent to your email address immediately. top How do I change my password? To change your password please sign in and click on “change password” located in the “my account” section. top How do I make changes to my account information? Once you sign in to your account there will be an option that says “Personal Information.” Simply click on that button and you will have the opportunity to edit your personal information (such as email address, billing and shipping addresses, other contact information). top How do I view my shopping cart? There is a link at the top of your screen that says “Shopping Cart.” Simply click on this link and you will be directed to your shopping cart. top How do I remove items from my shopping cart or update quantities? You can remove items from your shopping cart by simply clicking on the “delete” option associated with the item you wish to delete. You can also choose to add this item to your wish list, as opposed to deleting it entirely. To update quantities simply change the number in the quantity box associated with that item. Please be sure to click “Update Cart” when you have finished editing. top How long will items remain in my shopping cart? Items will always remain in your shopping cart if they have not been purchased. If you left items in your cart, and come back and add more items, when you checkout ALL of the available items you put in your cart will be a part of your total order. You must delete items you do not wish to purchase before you checkout. top What if an item is out of stock? If an item you are interested in is out of stock you may email us at customercare@inhabitny.com. We will be happy to advise you if there is any availability for this item, or direct you to a store in your area that is selling this item. top What is a “Wish List”? Consider your wish list a place to put aside items that you would like to purchase, but are still considering. If you are unsure about an item, or just do not want to purchase it at the time of checkout, you may want to save items on your wish list for future purchases. Items will remain in your wish list however they will not come out of stock, and therefore they may not be available when you actually purchase them. Items will remain in your wish list until you have deleted them, or until they have been removed from the site. You can move items from your wish list to your shopping cart at any time providing they are still available. top How do I email my wish list to someone? If you would like to email your wish list to someone who might want to purchase those items for you, or to perhaps give them suggestions, all you have to do is simply click on the link “email my wish list” that is located on the bottom of your wish list page. This link will direct you to a page that allows you to enter the recipient(s) email address, as well as a message. Your recipients will receive a link that will lead them to your wish list however they will NOT be logged into your account, and cannot see any of your personal information. In order for them to make a purchase for you, they must sign in or create their own account if they do not already have one. top How do I add items to my wish list? When you are viewing a product there is an option to “add to wish list,” which is located next to the checkout button on the product page. You must sign in when you start a wish list so that your list can be saved. If you do not have an account, you will be able to create an account at this time. top Can I order by phone? INHABIT will only accept phone orders if you are having difficulty purchasing online. A customer care representative will make the purchase for you, and your privacy is guaranteed as it is when purchasing online. top What is your return and exchange policy? Returns and exchanges are accepted on merchandise within 14 days of receiving your goods. Items can only be returned or exchanged if they have not been worn, and must have all tags attached. Returns and exchanges are not permitted for items that have been purchased at a discounted price, or have been purchased using a promotion code. Please note: shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. top How do I return an item? You must first send an email to returns@inhabitny.com requesting a Return Authorization Number (RAN) before you send anything back. If you return is approved, you will receive an RAN and further instructions on how to complete your return. No returns will be accepted without an RAN. Please securely pack and seal the return merchandise, and include a copy of the invoice (we recommend keeping a copy for your own records as well). Your card will be refunded upon receiving your package. top How do I exchange an item? Please fill out the “exchange form” by clicking here. You will receive further instructions on how to exchange your merchandise once we have received your request. top Where do I send my return or exchange? INHABIT is committed to respecting the privacy rights of our customers and all visitors to our website. We take this extremely seriously, and have taken all the necessary steps to insure that none of your privacy rights as stated on our privacy page are ever violated. top Do you charge sales tax? Sales tax is charged only to states where the INHABIT website has a physical presence. Currently this is only New York. The sales tax in New York is 4.375%. top How do I know if an item will fit me? Please consult our size chart for further information. top How can I modify my order? Please be advised that once an order has been placed we are unable to make any modifications to the order, including cancellations. INHABIT gift certificates are available for purchase exclusively on our website. When you click on the gift certificate link you will be prompted to fill out the required information and determine the amount you would like to gift. Your credit card will be charged this amount and no shipping charge will be applied unless you have other items in your order. Purchasing a gift certificate is like purchasing an actual product –the gift certificate will go in your shopping cart and you are charged upon checkout. A unique gift certificate number will be generated. An e-certificate will be emailed to the recipient with the unique number, and a physical gift certificate card will also be shipped to the recipient with the same unique number. top How do I redeem my gift certificate? In order to redeem your gift certificate you must sign in if you are already an INHABIT account holder, or create an account if you are not. Once you are done shopping and you are ready to checkout, you will be able to enter your gift certificate number in the “gift certificate” field located in your shopping cart. Once you have entered this number you MUST click the button that says “Redeem Gift Certificate” BEFORE clicking “checkout.” If you do not click the redeem button, the discount will not be reflected on your order total. This will deduct the full amount of the gift certificate from you order total. If the gift certificate is more than your order total, you will be able to use the remaining amount for future purchases. Please note: gift certificates are only valid for one year. top What is a promotion code and how do I use it? A promotion code is a unique code that is used during the checkout process to apply a predetermined discount. Often we give out promotion codes to current INHABIT account holders so that they can enjoy the special discounts only offered to INHABIT account holders. Once you are done shopping and you are ready to checkout, you will be able to enter your promotion code in the “promotion code” field located in your shopping cart. Once you have entered the promotion code you MUST click the button that says “Apply Promotion Code” BEFORE clicking “checkout.” If you do not apply the promotion code, the discount will not be reflected on your order total. On your confirmation page you will notice the promotion discount deducted from your order total. top How can I sell INHABIT in my store? INHABIT is carried in stores all over the world.
