Stocking Up for Fall

Posted on June 16th, 2008

INHABIT Fall collectionWhen is the best time to shop for a new fall wardrobe? In the summertime of course! Like most designers, INHABIT starts shipping their fall collection at the end of June to stores and boutiques that will stock the new sweater trends and cashmere classics as early as the beginning of July. How many times have you put off purchasing a cashmere sweater you saw in July only to find out that it was completely sold out come fall?

Personally, I prefer to start my purchases for fall during the summer. That way I can brush up on the upcoming trends and ultimately get first dibs on the newest styles before the best items have been picked clean. It also puts a halt to the high-anxiety mad dash to stock up on sweaters at the first chill in the air.

We want to know – When it comes to purchasing a wardrobe for the season, when do you think is the best time to buy?
