Posted on January 25th, 2010

Valentine’s Day takes on a whole new meaning when you are absolutely obsessed with luxurious knitwear. It is more than a time when you’re allowed to eat a whole heart-shaped box of chocolate, it’s also a day for couples to reaffirm their love for one another with gifts from the heart.  While there are a number of things your significant other might want, there is nothing better than a beautiful INHABIT sweater. This is because when you give your loved one a beautiful INHABIT sweater, you’re also giving yourself a present, since every INHABIT sweater is just as soft and comfortable to snuggle up to as it is to wear.

‘Tis The Sweater Season

Posted on September 3rd, 2009

This weekend is Labor Day, which means two very important things.  One is that you are probably reading this post with a foot out the door and a hand on a killer margarita recipe.  The other is that summer is coming to a close.  While we are obviously sad to see our days of fun in the sun ending, we have to admit we are pretty pumped for fall to begin. As producers of  luxurious cotton and cashmere knitwear, the fall is our time to shine.

It’s too cold to wear just a tee, but too warm to bundle up with a jacket, meaning the sweater on your back is what makes or breaks your outfit. Take a moment this holiday weekend to look around your closet and make sure your sweater collection is up to par for when the leaves start to fall.

INHABIT introduces its fall 2007 collection

Posted on August 13th, 2007

INHABIT fall 2007 collectionINHABIT continues to pay keen attention to craftsmanship and detail reflected in the fall 2007 collection where one will discover sophisticated, unexpected pieces.

Designer Susie Cho is inspired by explorers and adventurers this season lending a feeling of rare, treasured finds in both fit and fabric to the collection.

Incorporating exceptional textile treating techniques including a boiled cashmere, cashmere terry cloth which provides texture on the outside of the piece with a cozy interior, and a cashmere/mohair yarn that is unbelievably soft and lofty.

Nomadic touches such as oversized draped hoods and cocoon like shapes as well as exaggerated, oversized bodies dominate the collection.

A fresh take on classic cardigans with an asymmetrical body that can be tied up to serve as a tunic can travel with you serving multiple purposes wherever you may roam. Another twofold piece is the turtleneck apron which can be worn alone exposing the woman’s back for night or paired with a cashmere shell for day.

Shorter bodies complement the higher waistlines seen this season and bi level hems are introduced. INHABIT pioneers the way for knitwear to be worn as outwear this season with roomy coats, hoods, and vests. “I think it is all about the sweater being worn as outerwear this season. Our super luxe sweaters are great to layer and really keep you warm” says Cho.

Chunky cashmere tweed cardigans and boiled super yak or merino pieces with subtly contrasted seams discover both masculine and powerful elements. The reversible cashmere hooded pullover offers dual wear ability and functionality while maintaining an edgy, new look for a man.

INHABIT fills a void in the market for a sophisticated collection with a designer sensibility at a reasonable price point.

INHABIT IS ABOUT A FEELING, AN ATTITUDE, RATHER THAN A TREND.
