Sweaters: The Only Must-Have for Fall

Posted on November 6th, 2007

Inhabit Sweater StackIn a recent Lands’ End survey 80 percent of women polled considered sweaters a must-have item for fall. And 33 percent of women polled said that they own more than 10 sweaters. These results aren’t very surprising, given the number of occasions that call for sweaters, and the versatility just one sweater has. In the same survey, 71 percent of women believe sweaters are a staple for the office, and 55 percent think sweaters are perfect for the upcoming holiday party season.

Offerings that are draped, layered and gathered emphasize fluidity and ease, like the cashmere wrap vest featured here. These two pieces, like many other INHABIT sweaters, can be worn to the office, a party, or Sunday brunch. The versatility of sweaters also make them the perfect holiday gift.

Sweaters are an essential for three reasons: they’re comfortable, warm, and great layering pieces. Each season, INHABIT offers several staples which are distinctive in their details and fit. While stretching the notions of knitwear, INHABIT always maintains a dedication to wearability.

The New Maternity Trend

Posted on October 24th, 2007

Halle Berry in INHABIT

Trend tracker Shaye Strager of CBS 2 News recently reported on Maternity Fashions and said, “With so many celebrities expecting this year, there have been high demands for great looks by actresses Halle Berry, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Isla Fisher and singer Christina Aguilera.” The INHABIT asymmetrical cashmere cardigan Halle Berry chose to wear, and the INHABIT cashmere thermal Henley featured on Christina Aguilera, are perfect examples of how pregnant women everywhere can turn their stylish threads into maternity wear.

While maternity wear has come a long way from the over-sized oxford shirt and sweatpants, Christina Aguilera in INHABITwith collections like Liz Lange and A Pea in the Pod, there’s still something about maternity clothing that just doesn’t sit well with women who are already feeling a little unlike themselves. There’s no reason a woman shouldn’t remain stylish just because she’s pregnant! Retha Hill of The Washington Post eased the minds of pregnant women who are struggling with this fashion dilemma: “The main idea is to maintain the style you’ve had most of your adult life. Pregnancy is no reason to abandon the look you’ve developed since college.” The creators of the Pregnancy Survival Kit believe that most women have many things already in her wardrobe that will get her through most of the pregnancy, if not through the entire nine months. Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera continue to set trends, despite their changing figures, and have been turning to INHABIT to keep them feeling stylish, but still comfortable – the key to pregnant fashion.

INHABIT Means Being Wrapped Up and Cozy

Posted on September 27th, 2007

Jennifer Garner often opts for a trendy, yet sensible look, as pictured here in the INHABIT cashmere stretch cardigan. And Grey’s Anatomy beauty and Emmy winner Katherine Heigl recently told Star Magazine, “I like sweaters – they’re like scrubs – you don’t have to suck it in or worry about the bloat.” INHABIT’s approachability and focus on fit, quality, and attention to detail allows women, like Garner and Heigl, to enjoy comfort and easiness while at the same time look incredibly stylish. INHABIT designer Susie Cho says, “I love to explore design boundaries while making sure the pieces remain wearable.” The INHABIT cashmere woven tunic and the classic cashmere v-neck, are a few more perfect examples of how Cho creates low-key luxe pieces that are cozy, comfy, and distinctive. Perhaps Cho put it best: “In the design of each piece, there is a constant evolution and exploration of the silhouette, texture, construction and detail that makes INHABIT, INHABIT.”
